Title: MotoTech Knee Guards
Post by: rohit_barui on June 15, 2018, 11:11:32 AM
Good Day!

For those riders that are not comfortable or are unable to afford a Riding Pant, your tentative option is a good Knee Guard.

I have the MotoTech Knee Guards, Priced at around 4K+ INR.
Its a Poly Carbonate Knee guard with Inner foam padding for better comfort.
Elastic adjustable straps with pin lock option, Knee cap is quite comfortable.

like every Elastic strap, it tends to loosen on long rides.
NO CE Certification even though it has CE engraved on it.

Things of interest:

Its quite long and covers pretty much the thigh all the way to your shoes and weighs around 1.16 Kilograms.

There are other alternatives from Aspida as well.

Note: Don't fall for Fake Knee Guards, check the quality and inspect the product before you buy it. This product may be priced high but is worth it, you will find alternatives starting at 1K INR on e-commerce platforms but they just don't make the cut.

Happy Riding!

In my opinion, external knee guards are only a stop-gap arrangement till you've saved enough to buy proper riding pants. No knee guards will give you the comfort and safety of good quality riding pants with proper level 1 or level 2 armour.

Yes that's right as Mihir said these are basic protection like to have something better than nothing. The guards are good depending on the brand we buy there are some which are 1000rs which have some metal plate those are useless. Suggest to buy a good brand like cramster, scoyco, aspida, etc. Later on save money and buy a good riding pant with good armours.
