General Discussion / Re: Intercom: Do you need it ?
« on: July 05, 2018, 07:07:31 AM »
Extremely essential. I cannot go out for a ride anywhere without my intercom. It's a godsend. I have the vnetphone V6 which can play music and make calls along with the intercom facility. Mainly I can call anyone without the need to even see the phone. With an Android phone, double pressing the call button brings up the Google assistant and almost any function can be performed. I use it to open my music player or call someone. Battery lasts for a week with my regular office use. Perfect solution for biker problems.

General Discussion / Re: Dominar Owners club Bengaluru feedback poll
« on: July 05, 2018, 07:04:22 AM »
This vote cannot be for only one option mentioned. I would like to vote for other options as well. DOCB is not just about rides or premiumness. It's a community of like minded people with knowledge sharing by riding together.

It looks like mileage has dropped in pure city riding conditions. Earlier before the update, I was getting around 25-26kmpl. Right now it's reduced to 23kmpl. Not that I mind the mileage but just for information. I also ride a little harsh with frequent high rpm gear changes. But it all is overcome by the amazing performance of the update.

I am using this and can vouch for it. I would also suggest getting the adjustable brake levers from the Duke 390 since they also have a lot of benefit. Some minor adjustments are needed but makes a world of difference. At ₹1800, it is slightly expensive but the total cost with the clutch lever would be the same as any well branded quality adjustable levers.

I have the spare parts catalogue. However it is of large size so do not know how to attach the same here. Spare part number along with diagram and individual model( ABS vs non-abs) spare parts are given

Nikhil bro.. Please get those details along with pricing l.
If its a one time investment then let's do it.
I believe Shreyas has used NGK iridium spark plugs but not sure if it's on Dominar.
Ok I will give you the info. Right now we have Champion spark plugs. I believe it makes a lot of difference going in for platinum tip spark plugs. I spoke with the designer for the same and he told me it gives better combustion efficiency.

Bro is it waterproof that is wat I'm worried abt if sensor goes then it's of no use. I m not sure how it will perform if the tyre is submerged in water during rains. Do let us know. Coz the sensor has opening for battery.

Sensors are waterproof. I have tested in the rains. Not sure about water wading though. The display and sensors are IP68 rated.

I bought it through my dealer so no online link. However you can buy it on Aliexpress as well.

Gadget Reviews / Re: Review - ResQtech Pressure Washer 1700w 135 bar
« on: July 04, 2018, 02:00:54 AM »
Good to see you using the Resqtech. After using it for almost a year I can safely say no issues with the same. The foam cannon could have been more thicker but foam cannon is just as good as the shampoo being used.
When I recieved mine, the handle was broken which was promptly replaced. Customer service has been very good. I would recommend others to buy this over other reputed brands.

So this is the temperature and pressure reading after a regular afternoon ride back from office to home. Temperature at times goes up to 38?C. Earlier post gives you a picture of the same when in cold condition.
Also you can notice the battery status. This is without charging since I have got it and the display in on condition. Note that the display switches of if no movement is detected, so most of the time at night and during office hours the display is off but the unit is still switched on.

I can get the P/N for iridium spark plugs from Bosch of required. Theylast the lifetime of the vehicle and the spark plug gap erosion is extremely small.

Cons / Re: Cone set issue
« on: June 27, 2018, 08:49:56 PM »
I recently got my consent changed at 13800kms and it was unbearable to ride with the way it was pulling to one side. It cost me 1584₹ but life is too less. Must be something to do with the heavy front setup and the soft front suspension which seems to nose dive for every minor braking. If it fails once again, then I will look into an aftermarket higher quality bearing. Anyone has any idea as to what other options do we have?

Cons / Dominar name
« on: June 27, 2018, 04:51:37 PM »
There are cons regarding the bike but this one takes the cake I feel. I know a lot of people who can't even pronounce the name properly. "Dominos, Dominor and various other abominations are pronounced at least twice before they are corrected. Sometimes even owners of the bikes themselves spell and pronounce it as Dominor. Is it so difficult? I wish Bajaj had stuck to Kratos 400 as it sounded cooler or at least CS400. This is one of my only gripe against the bike apart from the other few cons mentioned in this forum.

ECU Update 117 / Re: ECU Update 117: The Hype
« on: June 25, 2018, 10:14:29 PM »
One thing I can say is that my throttle lag is completely gone. The engine RPM has increased to 9500 and the pull from low rpms is much more vibe free. I am glad I got this update. Done du the noise will change but I don't find any difference. Haven't tested the top speed but. Will test over the week in severe traffic and high temperature.
