Are you sure 99rpm is authorised seller for spare parts? If so, extremely useful it will be since I can buy certain spares like filter and change it myself when necessary.

Found this link of the web states abt someone wanting to change the spark plug but many suggested to change the wire too. Have a look on the below link.

There is no need to change wiring since the spark plugs suggested will have only better material for the electrode tip this maintaining the electrode gap for a long time. There is no increase in spark current and also temperature of the engine so no need of changing the wire. A platinum tip will retain the electrode gap for a long time this will prevent the need for frequent replacement of the spark plug.

I am planning to buy a set of full gauntlet gloves from Shima. They look very good. Only grouch is the ₹7500 price tag. Anyone who is using please provide some info as to whether is it worth it?

Shima is a good and upcoming brand, I did try those gloves in one of the recent meetups from Gear n Ride.

My opinion:

The leather is not that great however, the knuckle protectors and sliders look promising.

If your budget is around 7k, you have alot of full glauntlet options from Aspida, BBG, Alpine Star, Rynox, TBG and so on.

Check out a few more stores before deciding.
Not really interested in Aspida or any Spartan Pro Gear associated products. Solace my brother has. Leather is also not that great quality and doesn't fit me perfectly. Alpinestars is not available in full gauntlet for that cost. I will head to Orion store and try out the Shima gloves.

This is ridiculous. They do not provide extended warranty for their premium motorcycles but for the mass selling ones. I wish they would at least give us the option to buy extended warranty so that it safeguards us from any unforeseen issues.

Which Helmet? Tips on buying a good helmet / Re: SMK Twister
« on: July 05, 2018, 10:06:43 PM »
One can install the Bluetooth headset from SMK itself for the helmet. It fits exactly in the slot provided and would reduce the wine noise a lot. Costs around ₹4000 but has no intercom function is what I'm told. If anyone has used it, please provide a review of the same.

Oh man. My existing stock tire does not seem to wear out at all. It's still having good life even at 15000kms. I want to change to the new Apollo series but without the existing tires wearing out I'm stuck with it.  :(

Unless you plan for any long ride or you face the grip issues, you can continue with these till 20K.
I had to change because I had 2 punctures on my rear, front had god amount of rubber but i lost confidence on those after I had a front slide on a ghat road.

By the way can you share more info on Apollo tires ? are those the ones which compete with Metzeler M7 ?
whats the price these are available in Bangalore ?

I'm still confused to stick to the same profile on rear or switch to 150/70 section (protection against rim bend and more ground clearance  ;D )

Apollo's new tires which compete with the Metzler M7 are cake Alpha H1. They last more than Metzler and also provide same grip. I would try this for sure. I do not have the market price but MRP seems to be close to the Metzler. Here is a link.

Dominar Modification Accessories / Re: Hazard light flasher by Simtac

I'm also using Dothediy flasher. I mainly required no additional switch as I like to keep my handle bar clean as much as possible. Also switches are prone to fail in rain. No issues so far and very useful.

This by far is my best experienced Petrol pump. I fill fuel for my Duke 390 and Dominar (sometimes) here. The fuel quality is extremely good and service is impeccable. The pump attendant is very careful when putting the nozzle into the fuel tank so as to not damage the fuel pump or the metal stopper for that matter. They are very friendly and polite. I would recommend to fill from here if you're in the neighborhood.

Trusted Petrol Pumps in Bangalore / Essar Petrol Pump
« on: July 05, 2018, 07:15:17 AM »
As such this is not for any specific Essar Petrol pump but in general. I trust Essar pumps since they have a positive effect (maybe imaginary) on the bike performance. I fill in two petrol pumps, one at Koramangala and the other at Home, both of which are my FNP ( Friendly Neighborhood Pumps). They draw fuel from the same refinery as Shell but cost slightly less.

General Discussion / Re: Intercom: Do you need it ?
« on: July 05, 2018, 07:07:31 AM »
Extremely essential. I cannot go out for a ride anywhere without my intercom. It's a godsend. I have the vnetphone V6 which can play music and make calls along with the intercom facility. Mainly I can call anyone without the need to even see the phone. With an Android phone, double pressing the call button brings up the Google assistant and almost any function can be performed. I use it to open my music player or call someone. Battery lasts for a week with my regular office use. Perfect solution for biker problems.

General Discussion / Re: Dominar Owners club Bengaluru feedback poll

This vote cannot be for only one option mentioned. I would like to vote for other options as well. DOCB is not just about rides or premiumness. It's a community of like minded people with knowledge sharing by riding together.

It looks like mileage has dropped in pure city riding conditions. Earlier before the update, I was getting around 25-26kmpl. Right now it's reduced to 23kmpl. Not that I mind the mileage but just for information. I also ride a little harsh with frequent high rpm gear changes. But it all is overcome by the amazing performance of the update.

I am using this and can vouch for it. I would also suggest getting the adjustable brake levers from the Duke 390 since they also have a lot of benefit. Some minor adjustments are needed but makes a world of difference. At ₹1800, it is slightly expensive but the total cost with the clutch lever would be the same as any well branded quality adjustable levers.
